Hello All!

Just a few quick reminders!
Both 7c and 7D must have their Science tests signed and corrected by Thursday (tomorrow). I would like them to be handed in to me for safe keeping till finals in June.

Tomorrow is hot lunch,

We are still collecting non perishable food items for the Christmas Elves.

and

Sadly, both ski trips have been postponed due to poor weather conditions. As soon as we know when we have been re-booked, I will let you know.

Hello all!

Just a quick note on 7D math Homework...
They have page 100, numbers 1,3,4,5,7,8,10,11 due for next class.

Reminders - Tomorrow is red and green day and our secret Santa day.
Friday - the ski trips are still up in the air - sadly, the may be cancelled due to the freezing temperatures. We will know be Wednesday what the status of the trip is for certain.

Hello everyone!

15 Days left until Christmas! I hope you have all beat the shopping rush!

7D has the following homework:
Science - Drawing of the 2 root systems found on page 105 and a brief descreiption of the function of each root system. I will be collecting these on Friday. I would like to display them in our classroom so a concerted effort is a must!

Math - Page 95, numbers 3, 4, 6, 8 and 9
Also - please make sure that all math tests are signed and returned to me by Friday at the latest!

Science 7c - I will be collecting their root systems drawings on Thursday.

Reminders - Dec 17th Red and Green Day (students are encouraged to wear red and green
Dec 18th Hot Lunch - Panago
Dec 19th - Ski trip to Jasper or to Rabbit Hill
Dec 20th Christmas holidays begin!

Monday Dec 8th

Hello Everyone!
I hope that all have your shovels out!

I would like to congratulate my 7D class on their excellent work on their math tests. There marks were top notch! I will be sending their tests home with them tomorrow and I am asking that they be corrected and signed. Please return them on Wedensday.
I will hold on to all tests for safe keeping until the end of the year. Once finals roll around, I will hand all tests back. This way, students will be able to use their tests as study tools for the upcoming exams.

For homework, the 7D class has Math, page 92, questions 1,2,4,5,6 and 7.


7C please remember to have your Plants for Food and Fibre title pages daone for tomorrow. I will be collecting them at the beginning of the period.

Hello!

Today in Math, the grade 7D class continued on with their work on the order of operations.
To reinforce these concepts, page 76 numbers 1,2,3,4,5,and 6 were assigned as homework.

There will be a science unit 1 test on Friday Dec 5th for the 7D class and on Thursday December 4th for the 7C class.

Hello!
The grade 7D and C science classes both have page 67 - numbers 1, 3 and 4 in their textbooks to do. They are due next class.

PLease remember that Thursday is Hot Lunch, that Rabbit Hill ski forms are due back ASAP and that the 7D class has their pizza lunch on Friday - No lunch required!

Tuesaday November 18th

It was wonderful to meet everyone today - both at our 7D pot luck lunch and at Parent/Teacher interviews!

Please remember that you never need a reason to come into our classroom - you are always welcome!

The second set of interviews are on Thursday - I look forward to seeing the rest of you then...

As for homework.... The grade 7D class has the unit 3.9 worksheet to finish.
I will collect it in our next class. Science tests must be signed and returned to me by Thursday at the latest.

7C has to complete the diagram of the Water Cycle. Please be sure to include the definitions of each part of the diagram. Science tests must be signed and returned to me by Thursday at the latest.

Friday the 21st is our Mid Term Break - Enjoy the day off!

Hello!

Today in Science the grade 7C took notes on the Carbon Cycle and the Water Cycle...
Then - I informed them of the upcoming quiz on Topics 3&4 on Wednesday of next week.
The students have all been given an indepth review of what the test will entail and they also wrote the pertinent info in their note books.

7D will be having the same quiz on Thursday covering the same topics.

7d Math - page 3.8 has been assigned for homework if they have not finished and handed it in.

As a reward for having won the UNICEF challenge, the 7D class will be having a Pot Luck Lunch! The date is Nov 18th. Each student volunteered a dish to bring. Parents and siblings are welcome to join in on the celebration! If you have any questions or concerns regarding our luncheon, please do not hesitate to call me at school (780 929 5988)

Hello Parents and guardians!

Just a quick note on the 7C Science homework...
Students are to read pages 49 through 54 in their textbooks and answer questions 1 through 4 on page 54. I will be collecting this on Thursday.

Points of Interest...

This week - we have early dismissal on Wednesday

Friday is Western Day - Students are encouraged to wear their most waaayyyy out Western Wear! There will be prizes awarded to the class with the most active participation!

Report Cards will be sent home next Wednesday...

Science 7C PLease answer the "What To Do" AND the "Analyse" sections on page 41.

Hello!

Here is a quick recap of the homework that the students have today...
7D
Math - unit 3.4 worksheet is due tomorow.
Science - there will be a units 1 through 3 Test on Tuesaday of next week. The students have been given a indepth review in class.
As well... I have decided to postpone the quiz that was supposed to be on Tuesday until tomorrow - which is Friday. There were a few uncertainties that I wanted to clear up before I moved on. I believe that the students are now on the right track and are ready to proceed with the quiz.

As for 7C Science - There will be a Science test on Thursday of next week. It will cover units 1 to 3. I have also given them an indepth review in class.

WOW we have had a busy few weeks!

The students in my Grade 7c and 7d Science class have been busy bees with their Animals of Alberta oral presentations. I must admit that they have been doing an exceptional job with the presentations!
Way to go team!

7d Math - Math tests must be signed and returned to me by Tuesday. I will keep all of their tests once they have been signed for safe keeping. When exam time rolls around, I will return their tests and the can be used as a study tool.

Week number 4 - Where does the time go???

Here we go with grade 7 Homework...

7D Science - Some students forgot to include a bibliography on their science projects. I would like those students to hand their bibliographies in to me tomorrow. It was noted in the project outline and in the evaluation cryteria that this was a very important aspect of the project!
Oral presentations will begin on Monday.
As well, questions on page 28 (in their textbooks) #'s 1, 2, 3, 6 are due on Friday.


7C - Science - their projects are due on Thursday (tomorrow) PLease remind your child to include all of the requirements!

Hello all!
What a wonderful start to our weekend! The Terry Fox run was a huge success... The students represented our school very well!!
Job well done Team Flontek!

Currently the grade 7D and 7C students are working on a Animals of Alberta project. Sadly, we do not have any bristol left at the school - BUT some can be purchased at the dolar store for somewhere in the $1 range.
This project will be due on the 24th of Sept.

In Math the 7D students have worksheet 1.9 due tomorrow.
